Note that <strong>Golden Eagles<\/strong> are included in the count! I, too, have seen Goldens, but they have been so few and far between we haven&#8217;t even mentioned them. I guess the word is now out! The bulletin board at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatriver.com\/pbb\/\">www.greatriver.com\/pbb\/<\/a> shows a huge increase in eagle counts for Iowa.<\/font><font size=\"2\">Eagles have been especially abundant on Pool 8 for the past two weeks as &#8220;winter&#8221; eagles wait for the waters further north to open\u00a0and &#8220;summer&#8221; eagles start arriving for nesting. I counted 9 adults in two trees near open water on March 23.<\/font><font size=\"2\"> <\/font><font size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><font size=\"4\" face=\"Arial Narrow\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\">Eagle Sightings Winter 2007-2008<\/span><\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-align: center\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Arial Narrow\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\">The NEC&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaleaglecenter.org\/PDFsDoc\/GoldenEagleSurvey2008.pdf\">2008 Annual Golden Eagle Survey Count<\/a> was on <\/span><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Arial Narrow\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\">Jan. 19, 2008<\/span><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Arial Narrow\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\">.
