Today we expect another 4-8 inches of snow&#8230; for a total of about 56&#8243; this year this year&#8230; more than a foot above the annual average! So instead of thinking Sandhills, I&#8217;m thinking skiing. Check the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatriver.com\/whatsnew.htm\">What&#8217;s New page <\/a>on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatriver.com\/\">www.greatriver.com<\/a> for a list of downhill and X-country ski locations along the Mississippi. No doubt I&#8217;ll miss YOUR favorite spot so please do comment and we&#8217;ll add your favorites to the list.<\/p>\n<p>The Wisconsin Presidential Primary is Feb 19 and La Crosse is a favorite destination for Presidential campaign visits.<\/p>\n<p>TODAY we will see\u00a0MIKE HUCKABEE\u00a0at the La Crosse Center south hall ballroom\u00a0from 2 pm to 3 pm and\u00a0BILL CLINTON\u00a0(for Hillary) at the Eagle Center, UW-La Crosse, this evening. Snow will be heavy at times today so that could impact attendance at today&#8217;s events.
